If they are strays call your local humane society. Please do not harm the cats coming into your yard..but you can deter them. You can use unharmful methods such as hosing them or squirting them with water if they are near your feeders. Yes, it is a cats natural instinct to hunt and they should not be punished for doing so, but they should not be doing it outside in the first place. Cats are responsible for the death and decline of songbird species worldwide..millions of millions are killed each year by house cats. So concerning those cats, if they are strays, you can contact a local shelter to see what pick up options there may be. If they belong to neighbors, maybe it's time to have a neighborly chat. Emphasize your compassion for the birds.

She's content to be in the same room I am when I'm working on something and can't hold her. She'll follow me into the bathroom so I'm not too far out of her sight.

I'm trying to meet Adam Levine of Maroon 5 and I wanted to know how is it that people can stand outside Paris Hitlon's house? How do you find out where a celebrity lives? And once you find out where they live, how do you create a situation where you don't seem like a crazy fan? Any thoughts?

Try buying a Starmap that seems legit (ususally sold alot in the Hollywood area). And stake outside the house.
But yea...you could also try going to one there concerts, and get the blueprints to the design of the stadium (or whatever) where they are performing at. Then plan where they'll probably exit (ususally backstage exits). And follow any limo's you see coming out of that exit.

I usually take a pint glass, fill it with ice, add 6-7 dashes of bitters, maybe a dash or two of tabasco, a teaspoon of horseradish (if its for me, if not, then I leave this out), a shot or two of vodka, and fill with Tabasco brand bloody mary mix with extra horseradish. Then I put a shaker on top and mix it up a bit, so all the ingredients blend. Then I top it off with jumbo green olives and some fresh black peppper. I've made them from scratch before, but they're never as good as this.
At the bar that I worked at, we didn't have celery. Olives were the norm for bloody mary's, but I did occasionally have people request lemons instead.

Chilled Vodka goes in and I mix the condiments around in it. Top up with V8 or Clamato and give a stir. I usually like the celery stalk, but last summer while hanging with my Aunt, I discovered *pickled green beans* are the best thing I've ever had to garnish a Cesar/Bloody Mary with. I tend to add more hot sauce afterwards, but I like really spicy foods. Oh, and I usually don't rim the glass with celery salt, it's too messy for me ;-)

Chinese Crepe Myrtle is pink, but you could try putting it in laundry bluing to see if you could make it turn purple. Golden Penda blooms are yellow, but if you put them in bluing or red food coloring to see what happens. In the US I've always used Queen Anne's Lace (wild carrot) to do this, as it grows wild everywhere and takes up color easily. It might grow where you live, but I can't find any references.

The spinach I planted is bolting. Should I cut off the flower stalk, or pull it out and plant more spinach?
The answer here is definitely pull it out. It will be quite bitter once it bolts. Replant but I would hold till the main heat leaves. Spinach will do well into November and a frost will only sweeten it when picked. Happy Planting.

Why are paparazzi permitted to stalk celebrities without prosecution?
I am having a hard time understanding why paparazzi are permitted to drive recklessly, obstruct a persons ability to walk, climb fences and trespass, stalk a person, and receive privleges that the average citizen would quickly be arrested for. I understand that celebrities give up certain privacies in return for popularity, but there needs to be a limit to how far these jerks can go.

I loved them chasing the ambulance when Brit was in it, they are blood sucking idiots, but let's not forget, they wouldn't be doing that if we didn't show any interest.

I am having experiences with this. I am getting scared. I want to put a restraining order and notify the stalker tho she has not done any physical dangers, she simply calls constantly, and researches his present state. She is obessed with my fiancee. Before we got together, they were just talking. After we got together, she became obessive. And she truly belives the stories she tells. She says that they do things together (even with his family), call to say i love you, and he is engaged to both of us, crazy and outrageous things! My fiance and I are really scared, wondering how far she will go; and wonder if she will continue this even when we are married. This has been going on for a year already, and we dont know what to do. Ive researched on stalking, and the types of stalkers there are. I just want to know how a person can lead to this desperate conclusion, and how this can be fixed with the police involved. We've tried everything. And I fear this may lead to a fatal attraction.

Daylilies question------what is that hard clump that forms at tip of stalk after blooming?
And is there any way to encourage more blooms? I've only had these in the ground for two years and they seem to be thriving, but instead of more bloom heads now, I'm seeing these pod-like things and have no clue what they are or what to do, if anything.

Each daylily crown will send up one or two flowering stems, called the "scape". Each scape has several flowers, which will open, usually one at a time. As the name implies, each bloom only lasts one day.
As for the "pods", I'm not sure if you're referring to the dried-up flower (which falls off, or can be pulled out), or the green nodes on the stem, left behind after the bloom is gone.
I'm guessing that the node is a seed pod.
Generally daylilies are very hardy, and once established - will grow and spread easily. They grow in poor soil, and are truly drought resistant. They don't even seem to care about light.
Don't fret. You only planted them two years ago. I don't know what type/hybrid that you have, but most will take over your garden if left alone.
I suggest that you add different varieties, ones with different bloom cycles, so you've got flowers all spring-fall.

Each daylily crown will send up one or two flowering stems, called the "scape". Each scape has several flowers, which will open, usually one at a time. As the name implies, each bloom only lasts one day.
As for the "pods", I'm not sure if you're referring to the dried-up flower (which falls off, or can be pulled out), or the green nodes on the stem, left behind after the bloom is gone.
I'm guessing that the node is a seed pod.
Generally daylilies are very hardy, and once established - will grow and spread easily. They grow in poor soil, and are truly drought resistant. They don't even seem to care about light.
Don't fret. You only planted them two years ago. I don't know what type/hybrid that you have, but most will take over your garden if left alone.
I suggest that you add different varieties, ones with different bloom cycles, so you've got flowers all spring-fall.

Why do people stalk others on Y!A in the election forum? Has this happened to you?
I have someone who staks my questions and answers and tries to get all nasty as if this is some kind of personal vendetta. It's weird, creepy even. I thought this forum was to express ideas and not be stalked. Has this ever happened to you guys?

I've had times when I got reported for innocent things every day until Yahoo! suspended my account. I have only had a few individuals who made it a point to e-mail me and try to hurt my feelings or scare me. I urge you to report any harassment to Yahoo! because even though it is usually just some *** using his anonymity you never know when one of them might be the next crazy who shoots up a school, or your house. Yahoo! does a good job of keeping us from being identified though.
Those ones who follow me around to give me thumbs down are just comical. I guess they think I take it seriously. I could care less what an idiot thinks of me lol.

Can an employer be in trouble for paying someone to stalk me? Oh and to top it off it turns out he's sexually

The Judge is going to tell you that you have no case because your premise that you were being stalked is not admissible until it has been proven.

I don't think they "stalk" them. I would try to find them if I was adopted also because I would want to know who my real parents were.

There is no need for me to seek my biological parents.
The only thing that intrest me was their health issues. I wanted to be aware of anything that might affect me.
I can see the people that were put into foster care. Or have had a not so good experience with their adoptive parents, seeking their biological family. Or mabey some adopted people are more curious than others and want to seek out who their "real parents" are.
As for me, I'm somewhat intrested but not to the extent of becoming a STALKER! LOL

I am adopted and have wonderful adoptive parents.
There is no need for me to seek my biological parents.
The only thing that intrest me was their health issues. I wanted to be aware of anything that might affect me.
I can see the people that were put into foster care. Or have had a not so good experience with their adoptive parents, seeking their biological family. Or mabey some adopted people are more curious than others and want to seek out who their "real parents" are.
As for me, I'm somewhat intrested but not to the extent of becoming a STALKER! LOL
Reply:I think a more appropriate way of stating it would be they search for their biological family, and they have a right to know where they come from. Of course there will be some that do, but I think they maybe look from afar because they don't know if they will be accepted. It is a pretty big generalization that you make by asking the question like that though.

Its the verge in them to know :
why there real parents have abandoned them and left them to face the society by themselves without anyone to moral and elderly support..?
and why they had to give birth to an unwanted child and leave to misery for the rest of the life...?
These are some of the reasons why adopted people try stalking their biological family members...

but to stalk people stems from a deep insecurity and a obsessional quality of needing to know as in it invades all your thoughts which means you need psychological guidance
Reply:would you stalk your lost pet? or a family member? stalking is where you know where they live and watch their every move with out telling them. looking for a lost love or animal is not stalking. your have a right to know where they arewho your parents are. beside they too could be looking for their lost love that they gave away. depending on them or you.
Reply:Stalk, as in the lurking in the shadows to watch them? You don't have to be adopted to do that? Most adopted will seek out their parents/family. If they are rejected by them then an individual who has not got a healthy adoptive family might.

But sometimes the biological family will try to find out about the ones that adopted the child.
They wonder where the child went, and how they are doing.
When a child gets old enough, they might want to see if they look like the biological parents, that is, if they were told that they were adopted.
I was not told until I was a teenager.

I have a new neighbour of about a year who from his yard yells out things like I am a dope dealer and follows people who come to visit me when they leave. I called the toronto police and they stated they can't do anything what are my options I have owned my house 25 years and I am 65 and my health is not good I am female and he is a 40 yr old guy. Ii want to know if a peace bond would do some good

Talk to a lawyer in your area to find out about the law. In the US we have stalking laws that would protect you, but I'm not sure about Canadian laws. Usually the initial consultation with a lawyer is free.
Reply:Do you have anyone that's alittle younger that will talk to him? If you don't, the best thing to do for yourself is don't make any effort to acknowledge you heard what he has said. Within a short time he'll stop, because he won't be getting any reaction from you. Let the people that visit with you know what this person does, and you need them to not acknowledge his tag takes. Don't make any changes in your life style because that might be just what he is looking for.

That happened about 30 times before he got the point. I would get a video of everything he says and does then take it to the police and let them handle it. I would also have a few people over that could kick him up one wall and down the other! As a last resort I would sue him for harassment.

Actually....here's the lowdown on celery...a bunch of celery is really a stalk...one piece is called a rib. This is one of the most confusing things to remember.
