Why are paparazzi permitted to stalk celebrities without prosecution?

I am having a hard time understanding why paparazzi are permitted to drive recklessly, obstruct a persons ability to walk, climb fences and trespass, stalk a person, and receive privleges that the average citizen would quickly be arrested for. I understand that celebrities give up certain privacies in return for popularity, but there needs to be a limit to how far these jerks can go.

Why are paparazzi permitted to stalk celebrities without prosecution?
I loved them chasing the ambulance when Brit was in it, they are blood sucking idiots, but let's not forget, they wouldn't be doing that if we didn't show any interest.





Freedom of the press allows it, but it seems like the celebs are starting to band together and will eventually find a way to make it stop.

Reply:Freedom of the press... it kinda sucks, but they are protected to an extent. However, I think they should be prosecuted for stalking and invasion of privacy. BUT... that's the price to pay if you want to be famous. If there was not papzo, stars wouldn't be getting the attention that makes them so famous.. so it's a double edged sword!
Reply:That's a good question. I couldn't follow you around and take pictures of you all day. I'm sure you'd probably file some sort of a restraining/protective order against me. Not sure why celebrities don't. If a photographer is driving reckless, then that is endangering the life/lives of the celebrities %26amp; family/friends. I personally think there should be a minimum distance from which paparazzi can take pictures. With their super-duper zoom lenses, they can still take good pictures at a distance without bothering the celebrity or putting them in danger.
Reply:Paparazzi are cold, heartless jerks. They will do anything to get that one picture, which is very selfish, in my opinion. Just wait until one celebrity gets killed because of the paparazzi. Wait, hasn't that already happened?
