Why do people stalk others on Y!A in the election forum? Has this happened to you?
I have someone who staks my questions and answers and tries to get all nasty as if this is some kind of personal vendetta. It's weird, creepy even. I thought this forum was to express ideas and not be stalked. Has this ever happened to you guys?

I've had times when I got reported for innocent things every day until Yahoo! suspended my account. I have only had a few individuals who made it a point to e-mail me and try to hurt my feelings or scare me. I urge you to report any harassment to Yahoo! because even though it is usually just some *** using his anonymity you never know when one of them might be the next crazy who shoots up a school, or your house. Yahoo! does a good job of keeping us from being identified though.
Those ones who follow me around to give me thumbs down are just comical. I guess they think I take it seriously. I could care less what an idiot thinks of me lol.

I stayed patient, kept a record of all the incidents, with links, and when I had enough evidence I actually called Yahoo and talked to a supervisor who then gave me her email address and two days later his account was history. Blocking him didn't help. he just kept creating new identities each time I'd block the last one. Sometimes you have to fight fire with fire and not give up just because it's too much trouble.

Can an employer be in trouble for paying someone to stalk me? Oh and to top it off it turns out he's sexually

This is a crime. Call the police. After the conviction you will be able to sue your employer. Don't try to sue without first having the stalker convicted. The Judge is going to tell you that you have no case because your premise that you were being stalked is not admissible until it has been proven.

I don't think they "stalk" them. I would try to find them if I was adopted also because I would want to know who my real parents were.

I have a new neighbour of about a year who from his yard yells out things like I am a dope dealer and follows people who come to visit me when they leave. I called the toronto police and they stated they can't do anything what are my options I have owned my house 25 years and I am 65 and my health is not good I am female and he is a 40 yr old guy. Ii want to know if a peace bond would do some good

Don't make any changes in your life style because that might be just what he is looking for.

I live out in the country and I have three stray cats. I want to follow one cat around(and make it as though I'm not) and see what she does and where she goes.

Reply:Hmm, this is a toughie. It is really difficult to follow a cat without their knowing. Your best bet would be to get a pair of strong binoculars and follow her from a distance.
There really aren't any cameras out there (unless you get professional grade which are extremely expensive) that you could put on her that won't weigh her down or cause her to get snagged on something. And even then you'd have to put a harness (not a collar) on her to carry the camera.

Reply:Hmm, this is a toughie. It is really difficult to follow a cat without their knowing. Your best bet would be to get a pair of strong binoculars and follow her from a distance.
There really aren't any cameras out there (unless you get professional grade which are extremely expensive) that you could put on her that won't weigh her down or cause her to get snagged on something. And even then you'd have to put a harness (not a collar) on her to carry the camera.

I've known people that have said that it's surprisingly easy to stalk someone across the internet with just a little info. I fear this may be going on with me. Has anyone out there ever had someone send your girlfriend a malicious message on myspace or elsewhere? Ever stalked someone yourself?

Removing the stock from these plants after they have finished blooming will take away from next years flowers. An iris uses the nutrients from the stock to replenish the tuber. Let the stock die back by it's self. Cut them to about 1 to 2 inches above the ground in late fall. That's the draw back of irises. They don't look good for very long. As tip you can plant other flowers in the same area that will bloomer later in the summer or fall. The other plants can hide the stocks of the irises

I normally just cut only the stalk that the blooms were on when they shrivel and turn brown. You should leave the rest of the plant intact. The leaves of the iris and the peony both feed the bulb and tubers that they are growing from and give them the energy they will need to make lots of flowers for next year. I cut my iris in the fall and I start on one side and cut it in a sort of fan shape (up to the center and back down the other side, about 4-5 inches from the ground. My peony I just let it go dormant in the fall on its own and then I clean up the dead leaves and stems and wait for the new growth in the spring. I mulch the area lightly around the peony but not the irises because they do not like to be overly damp or the tubers will rot.

You should be able to reach under the fender to remove the nut that holds the turn signal stalk onto the bike. The wiring runs under the seat, and once you've identified the correct wires it should be fairly easy to unplug the original wires, remove the old turn signal, and reinstall the new one.
If you need a bit more room to work with under the fender, you can crank up the pre-load on the rear shock to give yourself a bit more space.

Dilema, Agave plant putting out center flowering stalk. What is going to happen?
It has not produced any offsets around it and it has started to make the center flowering stalk. Is there hope for me to save the plant and if so how do I go about doing it. I can't believe it is doing this as it has only been in my yard for 2 years. How long does it take to make the bloom that is coming out of the center? Can someone help me to save my plant?

Cutting off the flower stalk now won't necessarily save the stem from dying. If the moths and/or bats do their stuff and manage to pollinate your flowers from another plant near by, you may get enough seed to grow a thousand more! Agaves start easily from seed, although it could take a few years before they are large enough to enjoy in a landscape. I hope you get some babies. Good luck.

Use a plant fertilizer and keep it in a sunny window for a few months. Then stop watering it and put it in a dark closet for 6 weeks. After it has been deprived, bring it back out and start to water. It will repeat the whole cycle.
Alternatively, stick it outside in the spring in your garden. Let it renew itself there, it may even flower. In the fall bring it in stick it in the dark dry closet until Halloween. Bring it out water and at Christmas time... voila! It sahould bloom again.

I love these plants.. if you look at your plant, you will notice that once the branches get really long, a bunch of new growth starts at the base.. when they start to look straggly, i will cut off the long stems, above the new growth (it will look like you just planted them) and then add miracle grow .. you will see a whole new growth and flowers come up.. inpatients have a big root span, so if they are in the ground, or in a pot with extra shade and water..doing this.. you might actually get a few of the plants back next year!! (surprising, but IT has happened to me!!) remember.. these beautiful plants do not like to be watered where the flowers and leaves get hit by the water.. so only the base and soil!! good luck

You can also just pinch off the branches as they grow, which will save you from having to do more drastic cutting back. When I have time to really pay attention to my plants, I just pinch off the growing ends of 1 or 2 branches each week. That way I always have branches with blooms and branches that are developing more growth buds, and my plants always look good.
I don't know what part of CA you live in, but in Zone 9 (or Sunset Zone 15), my impatiens will overwinter in a sheltered place like the front porch, where they don't get much frost.

In order to track your websites from some other continent I would have to literally hack into your computer and put some kind of monitoring software on it. A proper security suite installed from a reliable vendor that is updated vigilantly and is operated with a little knowledge, safe browsing habits, and some common sense.. will protect you reasonably from this.
In order to access your connection via a man-in-the-middle attack I would literally need to have access to the signals coming from your computer and travelling along the wire or wireless. From another continent this would not be feasible.
In order to access your ISP logs which would indeed tell me the exact websites you have been to... I would need to not only work for YOUR ISP but I would have to have the kind of access at that ISP to get to your specific logs and I would have to subvert all of that ISPs security in order to do it risking my job. The only other way would be if I was a federal agent with a court order.
Aside from that, unless I am using some super government spy surveillance... like carnivore or echelon... it ain't gonna happen.

I haven't seen any fender eliminator kits for a GS500 but if you take the time to study your fender and your good with your hands you can figure out a do-it-yourself solution.
As far as short stalk turn signals you can get them from just about any moto shop or online store. I would suggest avoiding Chaparral.com. I've used them a couple of times and they ****** my order up both times. Try ebay and look into the flushmount signals, they look much better.

Here's some things I'd do to deal with it here:
Make your profile private, so no one can look at your Q%26amp;A in your profile. You can also make your profile private, but allow people you add as contacts to see your Q%26amp;A's from your profile. You can also block people so they can't answer your questions.
I wouldn't report them to Yahoo more than once or twice, since in the past, Yahoo actually deleted people who complain a lot to them, even when it's legitimate!
If they haven't blocked you, and they have violated Yahoo Community Guidelines, you should report their questions, when you see them, their answers as well, if you run across them. I don't bother hunting anyone down, but if the question or answer is obviously sick and I run across it, and it violates Yahoo Community Guidelines, I report it. I've had my Q%26amp;A's reported, and they did usually violate something or other.
But I do know some people just reported people's Q%26amp;A's just because they could, but that might be why YA changed the reporting methods. It does seem a bit calmer lately.

I think someone thinks that I am stalking them. I wouldn't want anyone to feel that way and I would never do that. It's a scary feeling. I know because I have had stalkers. They have certainly misinterpreted things.

In the state of Indiana is it legal for an officer to watch (stalk) a bar until a motorist leaves?
Basically the officer is waiting to see someone leave to pull them over and check if they have been drinking. If they have he/she takes them to jail for DUI. The officer passes by the same bar numerous times in one night and he/she's arrest record shows one bar in particular has many of its patrons arrested for DUI. The officer also sits in parking lot close to other bars and watches for people to leave. Is this legal?

Saying that they could not do this would be like saying they couldn't patrol the street where all the prostitutes do their business because its unfair to the poor prostitutes. They can patrol virually anywhere they want and often focus their patrol on problem areas, in this case the bars. You would think by now the patrons at the bar you speak off would learn not to drive drunk, of course anyone that drives drunk is apparently not too bright to begin with.
It is a very good prevention technique and probably for everyone that gets caught there are 2 or 3 that are smart enough to decide not to drive because they know the cop is waiting so this keeps the streets safer both ways.
It is a very common practice for officers to be in the vicinity of bars during the times most likely to yield DUI's. Of course they still need a valid reason to pull you over, not simply because you left the bar. Do officers try harder to find a reason to stop you at these times? Yes, but there is still valid a reason (plate light, tail light, bad driving etc). I know there are some bad cops who make stuff up but for the most part we can find a legitamate reason to stop you. There are plenty of occasions though when I have really wanted to stop a car but just cant justify the stop.
The officer being there provides him with an opportunity to observe people walking to their vehicles and allows him to check on them immediately and get a chance to stop them before they spend much time on the road thus increasing the risk to the public. I have picked up many DUI's before they even make it out of the parking lot because I either saw them stumble to the car or more often I have overheard someone trying to convince them not to drive or someone has actually motioned to me to stop the guy.
This question has been asked a couple times recently and I wish people would take more responsibility for their actions instead of blaiming the police for their problems. If you are DUI and you get caught then too bad for you, take your punishment. The day that I am told I cant patrol near the bars to try to catch DUI's and keep our streets safe is the day that I turn in my badge.

On one of my computers i signed into AIM and someone IMed me and i didn't know them so i kinda ignored until they bugged me and i asked wut. I know i should've let it go but i didn't. So i signed in with a different screen name and a dif. screen name started doing the same things. And it couldn't have been one of my freinds because i used an unknown screen name, and they knew my name and wut was going on in my life. I feel like im being stalked.

I would guess that it is probably one of your friends. The answer to your question though is yes. When you IM someone, you open a "window" to that persons computer. I do not personally consider my self a hacker, but I would know how to do this. Getting your IP address would be the first step. A hacker could further use that information to attack your computer, and retrieve information. Although IMing is normally a Person-Server-Person service, the server always contains obvious information about the other persons computer.
If somehow this person were to retrieve your screenname via one of your friends friends list, then they could IM you. After they IM'ed you, they could retrieve a cache of screennames you have used to log in to AIM, and when you logged on with that screenname, they could use a linked screenname to talk to you.
My advice would be to get a free firewall, and anti-virus if you don't have one already. And don't use Windows Firewall, it is very weak. Firewalls and Anti-Viruses can be fould in my source list.

Linked Screenname- When two screennames are "linked" a person can log on to both at the same time
Cache-a collection of data duplicating original values stored elsewhere or computed earlier

TURKEY STOCK
This is what you do with your leftover holiday turkey ... make a fabulous stock!
8 quarts cold water
1 turkey carcass, meat removed, leaving some crisp skin on if possible
Mirepoix:
8 ounces onions, chopped
4 ounces celery with tops, chopped
4 ounces carrots, chopped
2 small heads garlic, cut in half horizontally
Sachet d'epices:
1 teaspoon or so black peppercorns, cracked
6-8 parsley stems, chopped
1 bay leaf
1/4 tsp. dried thyme leaves
1/4 tsp. dried tarragon leaves
1/4 tsp. dried oregano leaves
1/4 tsp. dried basil leaves
The above ingredients are placed into a 4" square of cheesecloth and tied into a sack, or use a metal tea ball.
Break up the turkey carcass, and chop some of the larger bones in half. Put the carcass in the stockpot with the water and bring slowly to a simmer. Periodically skim off any scum that forms, and if you wish use a skimmer to skim off the fat. (This stock simmering process makes your house smell REALLY good!) Let this simmer for two hours.
Add the mirepoix and sachet; tie the sachet closed with some twine and tie the long end of the twine to the handle of the pot; this makes the bag easier to retrieve. (A tea ball also works well.) Simmer for one more hour.
Remember that during the simmering process, it's best not to stir the stock. The end result will be much clearer if it is not agitated while simmering.
Strain thoroughly; the best way to do this is to ladle the stock out and pour it through a strainer which has been lined with a couple of layers of damp cheesecloth. If you're using the stock immediately, skim off as much fat as you can with a fat skimmer or a piece of paper towel, otherwise cool the stock right away by placing the container into an ice-water-filled sink, stirring to bring the hot liquid from the center to the sides of the container. Don't just put hot stock in the refrigerator; it won't cool enough to prevent possible multiplication of harmful bacteria. To defat the stock easily, refrigerate overnight, until the fat solidifies on the surface, then skim off.
Makes about 6 quarts of stock.

16 cups cold water
2 large celery ribs, sliced
2 large carrots, scraped and sliced
2 onions, quartered (do NOT peel)
10 sprigs fresh flat leaf parsley (or more, if you wish)
1 tablespoon peppercorns
2 teaspoons dried thyme
1.First, you need a turkey carcass, stripped of all its meat; if you're lucky, you'll be at someone's home and they'll be throwing it away-- that's the time to shout, I'll take it!

10.Now let it simmer for 3 to 4 hours, stirring every once in a while.
11.I much prefer letting it reduce down to where I'll only get 7 or 8 cups of stock; I find the flavour much better and stronger, even if I have to add water when making the soup.
12.If you only let it simmer till you have about 12 cups of stock, it will be ready sooner but the flavour is much weaker.
13.Once you feel your stock is ready, strain it through a fine-meshed sieve into a large bowl; if your sieve is not fine, line it first with cheesecloth; discard the bones and veggies you used to make the stock, all their goodness is now in your stock.
14.Refrigerate stock, covered, for several hours or preferably overnight; then you can either make soup the next day, or freeze the stock; make sure you skim off the solidified fat before you either make soup or freeze the stock.
