If a stalk of celery is one, What is a bunch of them called ? when you buy them at the store?

Actually....here's the lowdown on celery...a bunch of celery is really a stalk...one piece is called a rib. This is one of the most confusing things to remember.

If a stalk of celery is one, What is a bunch of them called ? when you buy them at the store?
a bunch or just celery, you can't just buy one stalk at the store
Reply:auntcooki is correct. give her the best answer.
Reply:It's a head of celery.
Reply:the vegetable expert by d g hessayon mentions celery hearts hope this helps
Reply:When refering to the whole celery it is a head or a bunch of celery. And the individual "pieces" as stalks or ribs. Like a head of garlic contains many cloves.
Reply:Those who said it's a "head", are correct.
Reply:Head of celery
Reply:there is no plural word for celery. you would either say a bunch of celery or a bundle of celery
