When i eat celery, just a plain stalk;why does it make my tounge slightly numb?

You too!?! I thought I was the only one. I buy organic celery, and I get the same numb feeling.

I don't notice it as much if I add a dip, or other condiment... also, when it's cooked in a stir fry, sometimes it'll bother me - depending on how crunchy it is.

YOU NEED TO STOP PUTTING YOUR TONGUE ON EVERY THING YOU SEE
Reply:you are possibly mildy allergic, or may be reacting to the toxic pesticide residue, even if you washed it. Try washing with a mix of half water half hydrogen peroxide and a squeeze of lemon, then rinse it really well
