What's the healthiest part of broccoli; the stalk, or the dark green "bushy" top?

The florets are more beneficial and full of all the good stuff with a little fiber. The stalks/stems provide the means of sending food for the florets to develop and grow. The stalks/stems don't have the full nutrition the florets have, but they make up for it in fiber! So a combination of both is a real treat! You get it all.

Reply:The dark green bushy top part has the most powerful cancer fighting anti oxidants. It is very healthy for you but watch out because it is also one of the most gassiest veggies around. You may even win a Olympic Championship Farting contest after you eat a plateful of the stuff lol.

Reply:the flower part of the stalk is the healthiest part.you can use the stalks .it is best to eat before the flowers come out.
Reply:The dark green bushy part. It contains the flowers of the plant which store nutrition that feeds the seeds that would form if the plant grew for longer. The stem contains some nutrition but mainly serves as a system of plumbing between the flowers and leaves and the root system.
