Will the stalk become the North Pole?

With all the weather changes and global warming, the world is described as going !pear shaped".

Will the stalk become the North Pole?
Hmm. For those who don't know, 'going pear-shaped' is a British idiom meaning 'going wrong'. The world is currently more of a Smartie or Minstrel shape than a pear. Oblate spheroid, if you want to be picky.
Reply:I personally do not agree with someones idea of global warming just another money pit
Reply:Yes, the world is going to wobble and flip one half turn.
Reply:The world is already pear shaped. It's a 'spheroidal oblong."

Knowing the distortion is necessary for long-distance navigation in ships.

However, you don't have to worry about weather changing the shape of the planet. The earth has a predictable wobble.

The 'flipping over' thing people talk about occurs in the earth's core. When that happens, it affects the magnetic poles, not the geographic ones. Compasses will go screwy, but we'll still be right-side up.
Reply:absolutely anything could happen, mother nature cannot be predicted, even by scientists, and it does look as though everythings goin a bit mad, so all you can do is prepare yourself for anything
