How do you eat a pear? Do you eat the whole thing and just leave the little stalk?

Do you eat it like an apple, or some other fantastical way which I cannot envisage?

For me, it depends on the variety (stop buying fruit in the supermarket - you'll only get the tasteless varieties, delivered unripe).

Conference are usually rock hard so I don't eat the core - but Comice, oh juicy juicy, a ripe Comice you have to eat in the bath, so I eat the whole thing, core and all.
Reply:I cant bite into a pear so i use a little knife , I just leave the stalk
Reply:Peal off the skin. Chop it into little bits. Get rid of the core and enjoy :D x
Reply:cut it up and eat it, throw out the core.
Reply:I eat the lot!
Reply:Peel it,quarter it,cut the core out then eat it ,this way,the juice doesn,t dribble down your chin.
Reply:I eat it like an apple sometimes. Other times I cut it up and eat it in pieces.
Reply:I eat everything except the pips and stalk, but i hate pears soft i like my pear to be rock hard.
Reply:You mean you've never eaten a pear.?

Wow that is odd.....Just eat like an apple and throw the core away.... R U Serious.?
Reply:I eat them as a piece or cut them into pieces. I know some people eat them as a whole even the core and the seeds for nutritional purposes. I know that the seeds etc provides nutritional values in some way but I just find it really weird to eat them as a whole... =)
Reply:yeah just like an apple. You leave the core. I usually eat apples and pears with a little knife and cut little pieces off. Some reason they taste better than just bitting into it. Yo know how a banana tstes different if it is mashed? Same thing, but heaps better when you eat it with a knife. You should try it sometime.
