Is an asparagus that's kind of gold colored on the stalk instead of green bad?

It looked normal until I cooked it then it kind of turned golden colored (No Chocolate Factory jokes). Should I eat it or throw it out?

Perhaps it was cut too early.and was not ripe. It should be okay but bitter to taste. Cut the stalk short before preparing.
Reply:No, there are types of asparagas that are white, purple and green. We generally are used to the green kind, but the white is very tender and tastes great too. Have you considered steaming them until they are crisp tender and wrapping them in prosciutto? Very good!
Reply:eat it if u get sick sue the asparagus company1!!!!!!!! u should b fine
Reply:Throw it out. It's rotton.
