What is this red, stalk, fungus-like plant in my yard?

It is growing on a path. It has been covered with mulch (but that has washed mostly away.) Recently we have also seen other kinds of fungus growing

It probably is a fungus. Fungi are decomposers so if you have had several kinds there is probably some type of dead organic matter underground (or it could be the mulch) that they are decomposing. Let them do their job and they will die out because there will be no more food for them. You can knock down the "above ground" part. That's the reproductive part. The part doing the work will not be effected.
Reply:If the stalks are about 18 inches long then it sounds like rhubarb to me. Try letting it mature then cook it with sugar and put it in a pie filling and find out.
Reply:Skunk weed,or skunk cabbage,it sort of looks like rhubarb, but it stinks.
Reply:The Mother is feeding you. Be at fungus with Her.
Reply:Stay away from it. Sounds weird. Call a landscaping dude to remove it.
