Why would A 62 Year Old Woman Stalk a?

younger female? Is there a psychology to it, and even if the person who stalks is told (in a public setting place) to stop stalking the pursued and the stalker just laughs it off?

Is she depressed, schizo, or worse. What is the mental disease and why do stalkers do this?

There could be a variety of reasons, it's hard to say on the basis of the information provided.

Stalkers are broadly classified into two groups, psychotic and nonpsychotic. There may be pre-existing psychotic disorders such as delusional disorder or schizophrenia. Most stalkers are nonpsychotic and exhibit major depression, adjustment disorder, or are involved with substance abuse. They also suffer from varied personality disorders, such as paranoia.

Nonpsychotic stalkers' pursuit of victims can be influenced by various factors like anger and hostility, obsession, dependency, and jealousy.

*She'd need to be diagnosed by a psychiatrist or psychologist. The person being stalked should let law enforcement know about it.
Reply:Age has nothing to do with it...and if we knew why people do it, we could figure out how to stop it.

For whatever reason, this person feels that it is o.kay to harass someone. The main thing to remember is document the harassment. If all you have is your say so, and then she denies it, then it is just a "she said, she said", but if you have letter, messages, e-mails...something to show that she is stalking...pictures of her following you...time and date stamp your photos (really easy to do with digital cameras), and show that she shows up everywhere you are...but more than to be "just a coincidence".

Be very careful, but you do need to be able to prove that she is stalking, and that there is possible danger...

Reply:maybe she lost a daughter and you resemble her and she just misses her and seeing you made her feel like she had "her" back?. its far-fetched but the first thing that came into my head. if you are worried, id suggest the police if they already aren't involved.
Reply:maybe you remind her of someone
Reply:Please tell about one of the stalkings. It's hard to say without more information.
